''There is nothing new about poverty. What is new however, is that we have the resources to get rid of it'' Martin Luther King
At Rangi Yetu we understand that obligations that have been made by past and present governments have disadvantaged some communities and put critical responsibilities to future generations. We believe that the greatest resource we have to preserve our future is in responsibly exercising our civil rights and liberty. It is our objective to empower citizens, not only to participate in traditional forms of civic activities but also modern and contextually identified initiatives.
Our goal is to empower underserved communities to learn how to use basic skills and knowledge to obtain information, critically analyse it and put it to proper use both at community and national levels. We aim to be the change agents that shift the culture of civic empowerment in these disadvantaged communities.
